Course Description
This online Visual Testing (VT) Level II course provides structured web-based instruction developed in accordance with the recommended training guidelines of ASNT SNT-TC-1A and the topical outlines of ANSI/ASNT CP-105 for personnel qualification and certification in nondestructive testing. The course delivers formal online classroom training covering visual testing fundamentals, the principles of light and vision, visual acuity requirements, lighting and illumination, direct and remote viewing techniques, optical aids and equipment such as mirrors, magnifiers, borescopes, fiberscopes, and videoscopes, measurement tools and gauges, surface conditions and preparation, discontinuity recognition, indication interpretation, weld and material inspection, applicable codes and standards, documentation and reporting, and safety practices. Designed to support employer-based certification programs, the training provides the recommended formal training hours and technical knowledge necessary for Level I and Level II VT personnel performing inspections in aerospace, manufacturing, and industrial environments.

As Principal Consultant at AMS Level 3, Mike provides NDT Level III services including training, certification, procedure development, and auditing. Certified by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing in RT, MT, PT, and VT, he has helped organizations prepare for Nadcap, FAA, ISO, and advancing NDT programs.
